AusCorp Connect Reviews Some of the Most Outrageous Entrepreneurs of 2014

Notorious for their outlandish ideas and their dramatic contributions to the industry, direct marketing experts AusCorp Connect reviews some of the year's most outrageous entrepreneurs.

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, January 02, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Due to the recent favourable economic climate, many small businesses have excelled in 2014. Although this is incredibly positive and sets a good precedent for 2015 it also means that many markets are becoming oversaturated with similar businesses offering similar services. To get ahead many small businesses have been doing whatever it takes to stand out and set themselves apart from their competitors. Sales and marketing firm Auscorp Connect have been thrilled to see so much innovation among new businesses. The firm believe that a major contributing factor to success is a strong and unique brand identity and through striving to be different, many new businesses are setting themselves up for future success.

There have been many stories of innovation and entrepreneurship that Auscorp Connect have enjoyed over the past year. Here the firm have shared their favourite stories of the most outrageous start-ups and entrepreneurs of 2014.

Jack Ma of Alibaba
CEO of ecommerce company Alibaba Jack Ma has had a landmark year, just two months after launching Alibaba Ma announced that the firm was due to face it's most 'dangerous time'. Cue media speculation and a number of 'on edge' staff the announcement had the effect Ma hoped, the firm was propelled into the public eye and is currently working on a new range of innovative products.

Brandi Temple of Lolly Wolly Doodle
After losing her husband at a young age, Brandi Temple didn't have any business aspirations and was set to be a stay at home mother. However after discovering a flair for both designing and creating eye catching children's clothes she established her business, Lolly Wolly Doodle. Her business has grown from strength to strength, even attracting attention from ecommerce leaders Zappos.

Travis Kalanick of Uber
Possibly one of the most outrageous entrepreneurs of 2014, Travis Kalanick has definitely caught the attention of the business world. Aside from his controversial comments in GQ magazine Kalanick made headlines this year after his taxi company Uber suggested digging up dirt on journalists who openly slated the business. Although Auscorp Connect don't condone Kalanick's extreme actions the firm believe it's hard to ignore how his controversy has raised the profile of his business and brought Uber to the public's attention.
