SCOTTSDALE, AZ, January 09, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Artist Frank Leonhardt and therapist Jennifer Hewat will have events hosted at Harumi Yoga+ in January. Leonhardt's art exhibition will be on display from January 1st through February, with an Open House Reception from 4pm to 6pm this Saturday, January 10th. Hewat is offering an opportunity on January 12th to learn EFT-Tapping to Rewire Your Brain for the New Year.

Leonhardt's current exhibition displays Leonhardt's response on his recent trip to Japan. The show features a modern version of traditional Japanese Scroll Painting. Leonhardt has collaborated photographs that he took while in Japan with ancient Chiyogami. It is woodblock prints that were used to accessorize houses during the Edo period. These wooden blocks were inspired by intricate fabrics, which ladies wore in larger cities. Leonhardt has surrounded his photographs with Chiyogami and printed them on rice paper. It is an exquisite, most unusual medium.

Hewat graduated from Boston University with a B.S and RN in nursing. She went on to lead a thirty-year nursing career and spent much of her time caring for burned children at Shriner's Burned Institute in Boston. Hewat then went on to co-find the Athlone Antenatal Society for expecting mothers. She later received her Oncology Certificate at Greater Boston Medical center and conducted the first Outpatient Chemotherapy Clinic at Union Memorial Hospital. Hewat helps patients who wish to address their entire healing process. She uses 3 techniques of Energy Medicine to address physical pain, emotional blockages, attitude changes, and spiritual healing.

Harumi has spent over a decade engaged in daily practice and many hours in intense, silent meditation in temples and monasteries. She has completed 500 Elite hours of teacher's trainings in Hatha and Kripalu Yoga. Her instruction reflects the synthesis of all she has learned from these practices of inner awareness and conscious physical alignment.
