3rd Annual Haunted Nightmare Haunted House Brings the F.U.N.K. to Bothell in 3-D

70s horror rules the night at Seattle's only 3-D haunted attraction with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Snohomish County.

BOTHELL, WA, October 14, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- He was a well-respected scientist. His theories about time travel in the mid-1970s garnered incredible respect from the scientific community. The technology to create his ultimate machine however remained decades away. Now, older and wiser, yet mentally tweaked from a life of striving toward a seemingly unobtainable goal, Dr. Willard Wonkadaver finally unveils his masterpiece - the Fantasmagorical Ultra-sensory Navigation Kontraptiona, aka F.U.N.K. Has he perfected time travel? Or has he managed to create a highly unstable temporal slipstream with unfathomable repercussions? This October, prepare to experience horror on another level as Haunted Night presents Boogie Nightmare, the 3rd annual Haunted Nightmare Haunted House in Bothell (Canyon Park) benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Snohomish County.

The scares begin much earlier this year as the outdoor queue line begins with a haunted trail. Then, 3-D glasses provided as you enter the haunt bring your nightmare to life with the help of brilliant fluorescent paints and "ultraviolent" black lights. There's no turning back as your senses are engulfed in visions of nightmarish horror courtesy of the brilliant 3-D artwork by Dutch Bihary of Contours FX and Josh Burns of Knottygoods.

The nightmare began last weekend as hundreds of visitors experienced Dr. Wonkadavers time travel machine. Soon after, strange and unusual occurrences began taking place throughout the Bothell and Mill Creek communities. Wonkadaver Industries has denied any involvement leaving guests to wait until the next time Wonkadaver opens his machine up to the public. Future dates include October 14-15, 21-22 and 25-31.

Doors to the Wonkadaver laboratory open at 7pm with the final victim...er...guest sent through time at 11pm. General admission tickets are $10 or guests can skip the line with a $15 V.I.P. Pass. The haunted house is recommended for ages 10 and up, however kids of all ages and adults love the 3-D effects so slightly younger kids will surely love it as well, as long as parents are by their side.

Haunted Night is partnered with Jump Planet, a children's bouncy house, where the haunt is constructed and remains year around in an unused section of the warehouse. Jump Planet and the Haunted Nightmare Haunted House are located just off the Bothell-Everett Highway near I-405 at 22310 20th Ave SE, Suite 200 Bothell, WA 98021.

For parents looking for a fun activity for their younger kids, there are opportunities to view low-scare versions of the haunt. On Halloween day Jump Planet opens their doors to the general public with multiple bouncy house sessions, face painting, and trick-or-treating through the low-scare haunted house for $12. For those who can't make it on Halloween, scares will also be toned down in the haunted house and trick-or-treating will be offered on Saturday, October 29th from 12pm-4pm for only $5 (free for parents, does not include bouncy house time).

Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at http://www.hauntednightmare.com.

Haunted Nightmare Haunted House is entirely driven by volunteers. Actors, makeup and FX artists and security personnel interested in getting involved should e-mail [email protected].
