BGCOP Appoints Two New Members to its Board of Directors

CBC Federal Credit Union and Oxnard Fire Department executives join the Club's leadership team



    OXNARD, CA, January 17, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme announces the addition of James Williams, Oxnard City Fire Chief and Frank Wasson, vice president and chief operating officer at CBC Federal Credit Union, to its board of directors.

"Frank and James have proven they are dedicated leaders and are committed to helping advance our community by helping our youth," said Erin Antrim, BGCOP chief executive officer. "They both bring a wealth of knowledge with them and we are honored to have them join our board of directors."

Williams is currently the Fire Chief of the City of Oxnard Fire Department where he is responsible for the leadership, effectiveness and efficiency of the organization. He has spent more than 25 years in the fire service, being involved in the implementation of major fire service programs and has commanded large-scale emergency incidents. He has also served on the Red Cross Presidents' Council and Ventura County Fire Chiefs Associated Executive Board.

Wasson serves as the vice president and chief operating officer at CBC Federal Credit Union. He has over 30 years of leadership experience in financial services, resorts entertainment and retail merchandise. At CBC Federal Credit Union he provides strategic leadership to CBC's Technology group. Wasson holds a Bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Florida and an MBA from the University of Central Florida.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme exists to inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. With three full-service clubs and 18 school program sites, the organization is one of the largest of its kind in California, serving more than 9,000 members annually. It's also the first Boys & Girls Club of its kind to open in the Juvenile Justice Center.
