Low McKinley Baleria & Salenko, LLP is a Sacramento-based litigation defense firm which handles cases throughout Northern California. The firm recently opened a small branch office in Walnut Creek, California and is known for outstanding client service, advanced legal knowledge, integrity and strong results.

Ms. Low has 24 years of legal experience, with 10 years as the Managing Partner of Low McKinley Baleria & Salenko, LLP. She prides herself on her ability to evaluate claims against health care providers, including physicians, allied health professionals, acute care hospitals and long term care facilities. Ms. Low regularly represents individual and corporate clients in civil litigation throughout Northern California. Many of the litigated cases involve catastrophic losses or allegations of elder abuse. She also represents physicians and nurses in administrative proceedings filed by the California Attorney General concerning issues related to professional licensing.

Ms. Low has lectured and published on a broad range of subjects in the medical-legal context. She has presented accredited programs to physicians on behalf of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education and has presented several accredited programs to attorneys which were sponsored by Continuing Education of the Bar. Ms. Low has lectured to staff of acute care hospitals and long term care facilities on issues ranging from effective communication, patient hand-offs, documentation and risk reduction strategies. She finds that in her current legal practice, her knowledge and expertise in science, anatomy and physiology are invaluable.

Looking back, Ms. Low attributes her success to her background and professional commitment. She became involved in the legal profession after initially experiencing a rewarding career as a registered nurse. She was a nurse for 15 years and achieved both professional and personal objectives before deciding to attend law school in order to defend the legal interests of physicians, nurses and hospitals.

This way, she could provide a broad range of consultative services and defend the interests of various professionals in legal and administrative proceedings.

Ms. Low received a JD from McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific, Sacramento in 1990 and a Bachelor of Science from Eastern Kentucky University, where she graduated magna cum laude in 1978. She was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and also maintains affiliations with the California State Bar, the Association of Defense Counsel, the Sacramento County Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the American Bar Association, the California Medical Legal Committee and the Litigation Counsel of America. She has been rated AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell, and she is a Top Attorney in Healthcare Law in Northern California according to "San Francisco Magazine" and "The Recorder." Furthermore, in 2014 she was recognized as a Super Lawyer in Northern California, and is listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers and the Lexis Nexus of Register of Preeminent Women's Lawyers. In the coming years, Ms. Low will continue to diversify the firm in terms of members and the firm's practice areas.
