Attorney David F. Meekison Receives Distinguished Service Award

    NAPOLEON, OH, February 13, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Attorney David F. Meekison with Meekison Law Firm has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in law.

The recipient of a Distinguished Service Award from the American Arbitration Association, Mr. Meekison parlays more than 42 years of experience into law. He has extensive experience in wrongful death, medical malpractice and personal injury cases, and has obtained a $1 million award in the underinsured arbitration of the wrongful death of a housewife. Mr. Meekison is noted as one of the first lawyers in the country to use a grief expert to testify regarding the surviving spouse's severe depression, and has represented clients in many cases that require the use of medical, vocational rehabilitation and accident reconstruction experts.

Mr. Meekison received a JD from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 1972. Toward the beginning of his professional career, Mr. Meekison represented clients and Fortune 500 companies in civil litigation involving complex issues, and tried more than 80 trials to verdict in state and federal courts. More recently, his practice has focused on specialty areas of bodily injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice cases. An AV Preeminent Attorney, Mr. Meekison has tried cases before 47 different judges in 14 Ohio counties.

Recently inducted into Worldwide Registry, Mr. Meekison also maintains affiliation with the Henry County Bar Association, Toledo Bar Association, Ohio Association for Justice and Ohio State Bar Association. He serves as a chairperson with the Napoleon Civil Service Commission, as well as a trustee with the Henry County Community Foundation and Northwest State College Foundation.
