GenPro Energy Solutions Partners with Government Organizations in the Bahamas on Energy Efficiency Projects

    RAPID CITY, SD, March 06, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- You wouldn't think that a landlocked state and an island nation would have a lot in common, but a passion for promoting renewable energy systems and the need for energy efficiency and savings have brought the two together. In 2012, after several years of successful project deployments of their energy saving processes, GenPro Energy Solutions and their service partner, Power Plus Bahamas, were invited to sit down with the Prime Minister of the Bahamas to discuss ideas surrounding a national energy plan. In 2013, after successful projects with the Port Authority, the Bahamas Telecommunications Company and the Bahamas Electricity Corporation, GenPro Energy Solutions closed a multi-million dollar deal to upgrade the streetlight systems to energy saving LED (light emitting diode) technology. This year, GenPro has been awarded contracts with the Government owned utilities to implement their energy saving lighting solutions.

GenPro began working with Power Plus Bahamas in 2009 to bring renewable energy and energy efficiency projects to the Islands. The Commonwealth of the Bahamas recently signed on as a Partner in Richard Branson's Carbon War Room, an organization aimed at promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy production in The Caribbean. The GenPro Energy team will be travelling to The Bahamas this month to begin work on the new projects.
