The participants were presented with a list of 10 skills - communication, logic, reading, teamwork, writing, science, math, athletic, music and art - and were asked to select the ones they believed are the most important for children to get ahead in the world today. Communication came out on top with a massive 90% of respondents citing the skill as "most important". More tangible skills received much less votes, including reading (86%), math (79%), and science (58%).
