American Board of Urgent Care Medicine Acquires National Association for Ambulatory Care

Two elite organizations come together to strengthen and advance the specialty of Urgent Care Medicine.



    ORLANDO, FL, May 02, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The American Board of Urgent Care Medicine (ABUCM) is pleased to announce that it has acquired the National Association for Ambulatory Care (NAFAC). NAFAC is an organization dedicated to the development and promotion of Urgent and Convenience Care and Ambulatory Care Medicine in the United States and North America. With a shared commitment to the advancement of Urgent Care Medicine, the ABUCM will continue the excellent work that NAFAC has achieved. The joining together of these two organizations will continue to strengthen the role of Urgent Care Medicine within the medical community.

The American Board of Urgent Care Medicine (ABUCM) is the certifying body of the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine (AAUCM). The ABUCM was established in 1997 to certify properly qualified candidates in the specialty of Urgent Care Medicine. The ABUCM serves as an independent certifying body for Urgent Care Medicine. The ABUCM is committed to the certification of qualified Urgent Care physicians. Certification by the ABUCM recognizes excellence in the discipline of Urgent Care Medicine.
