Ricardo Cidale Recognized for Excellence in Digital Media Software

    AUSTIN, TX, May 08, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ricardo Cidale, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of UUX, has been named a Worldwide Branding Executive of the Year in Digital Media Software. While inclusion in Worldwide Branding is an honor, only small selections of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Branding membership.

Mr. Cidale has wide and diverse business interests, and has served in senior executive positions at several multinational companies, including Compaq, Dell and RealNetworks, as well as founded or groomed several vertical market software companies such as Wild West Software, LabOne Systems and Over-The-Top Networks. Additionally, he is an entrepreneur and international business specialist in the high-tech industry. He founded and headed the environmental protection association AMA Geriba, in Búzios, Brazil, in 2002, where he presided until 2006. His leadership yielded landmark progress and legislation at state and municipal levels protecting the coastal environment. For those contributions to the community, has been repeatedly recognized and served as reference for current and future efforts in other parts of the country.

As an entrepreneur and investor, Mr. Cidale prides himself on having founded or co-founded several technology companies. Though he is able to work effectively at the head of virtually any company, he finds that he thrives at early stage companies or as a leader in new businesses within large-size enterprises. When Mr. Cidale leads a company, he quickly gains a sense of that company's immediate, short-term and mid-term capabilities, and he is able to formulate effective business strategies as a result. This talent has served to separate Mr. Cidale from his peers, and gives him a distinct edge when it comes to forecasting results and business sustainability. In addition, Mr. Cidale is a multilingual professional, speaking Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and English, giving him the ability to conduct business across language barriers.

As a man of many talents and diverse interests, Mr. Cidale feels that he has found a solid path in executive leadership, as his role as CEO and chairman often has him wearing many hats and exploring different areas of a business to get a feel for how they operate.

With 33 overall years of business experience, Mr. Cidale has become an expert in business planning, startup development, and operational and financial management. His duties in his current role at UUX include overseeing general business operations and corporate development, all while serving as chairman of the board.

Mr. Cidale has been successful because of his tenacity, and understanding his place, share, and timing within a business opportunity. His day starts and ends with P&L management. He has become deeply involved in a great many professions through his interest in private equity, urban development, music and video distribution, software, and technology in general. The most gratifying aspect of his multi-faceted career thus far is that he is able to provide and serve as a stepping stone for many professionals at the early stages of their careers and business endeavors.

An excellent education has also benefited Mr. Cidale's numerous ventures. In 1985, he received a Master of Science in structural engineering from A&M University, having earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the same university two years prior. He also completed graduate studies in Corporate Governance at IBMEC Rio de Janeiro.

Recently inducted into Worldwide Branding, Mr. Cidale also maintains numerous industry-related affiliations. He is the board director of Inizio Urban Development, UUX, Kona Corporate Fitness, AMA Geriba (emeritus), and held the same position at Automatos (2004-2008), Bematech S.A. (2005-2008), Bematech International (2003-2008), and Gemco ERP Software (2003-2007). Charitably, he supports the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Worries & Wonders Foundation, both based in Austin.

Mr. Cidale's goal for the future is to grow UUX by a triple-digit percentage within the next two years. To accomplish this task, he is laying the groundwork for future success by recruiting a highly motivated business and corporate development team that will attract professionals with intellectual, technical and negotiation skills to deep penetrate Network Operators and Content Groups around the world. He feels that success will come by catalyzing comparisons between the UUX value proposition in products and services with future plans and/or existing solutions at these companies. Once he has a team in place, he will focus his efforts on marketing, which will enable the company to reach its growing subscriber base.
