The Story Exchange Announces its 2015 Power List #TSEpowerlist

Our first-ever list of female entrepreneurs aged 35 to 55 -- women who are rarely recognized, even though they're in the prime of their entrepreneurial power.

"These are indeed remarkable role models for any woman wanting to be an entrepreneur," says Victoria Wang, co-founder of The Story Exchange.

NEW YORK, NY, May 14, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Story Exchange today released its first-ever Power List spotlighting 10 exceptional women business owners who are leading dynamic, growing businesses, creating jobs and making an impact on their industries and communities.

The list includes a number of women who are finding success in male-dominated fields. Sarah Isaacs, CEO of Chicago-based Conventus Corp., has carved out a $5 million space in the information-security business. Stacy Francis is helping women get money-smart as CEO of New York wealth management firm Francis Financial Inc. and founder of nonprofit Savvy Ladies. Jennifer Kearney is helping companies save energy, Kryshon Bratton is building pools and parking lots across Houston, and Elsa Ramo is blazing an indie trail in entertainment lawn in Beverly Hills, Calif. (See the full list below.)

"We are excited to initiate this Power List of outstanding women who have contributed to global economic growth and job creation," says Victoria Wang, co-founder of The Story Exchange. "Our Power List demonstrates a woman's ability to recognize a market need, to start a business addressing those needs, and to grow the business regardless of obstacles through creativity and hard work. These are indeed remarkable role models for any woman wanting to be an entrepreneur."

To be considered for the Power List, applicants had to be established entrepreneurs in business for at least three years, have two or more employees and be between the ages of 35 and 55 on April 1, 2015. While they could have male co-owners and employees, they had to be the true leader of their companies.

The Story Exchange received applications from approximately 60 women, most of whom were based in the United States, many in urban centers such as Chicago, Los Angeles and New York. However, we received international applications as well, from as near as Canada and as far as Tanzania and India. A significant portion of the applicants boasted annual revenues in the millions of dollars. All have created multiple jobs and worked hard to get where they are today. The majority of applicants were self-funded, almost 70 percent have children, and 55 percent have earned advanced degrees.
