Lohez 9/11 Foundation Debuts Trilingual New Website

Sophisticated Multimedia Platform for Global Outreach

NEW YORK, NY, June 08, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The New York City-based Lohez 9/11 Foundation, which supports dual-degree exchange programs among universities in France, China and the United States, will debut the first major redesign of its official website, jl911.org, unveiling a sophisticated, trilingual interface, Thursday, June 11, 2015.

The new website is designed in Wordpress version 4.1.5 by Ms. Kelsey Holland, Associate for Design and Digital Graphics at Tranquility49 PR, which maintains the website for the Foundation.

"This is a major advance in design and functionality over the previous version of the website," said Ms. Holland. "It will be much easier to feature video and other multimedia, and user-friendliness is built in throughout--especially when using mobile and tablet platforms."

In remarks at the Foundation's 10th Anniversary Celebration and Awards Event in May, Ms. Dening Wu Lohez, founder and chair, detailed some of the vision behind the changes in store for the Foundation and its mission.

"In this year of 2015," she said, "the Lohez Foundation finds itself confronted with new and expanding horizons. From a small scholarship foundation with a special mission, we have begun a steady transformation into a global educational exchange and charitable organization."

Ms. Lohez also noted that the US and French authorities announced this past January their willingness to double by 2025 the number of student exchanges between their countries. At the same time, the exchange of students between France and China will increase to 50,000 students per year from 35,000.

"This clearly is the opening of a new opportunity for the Lohez Foundation to partner with new institutions," Ms. Lohez concluded, "to work with new young global leaders and to make a lasting difference in the interconnected world that we live in."

Ms. Lohez is a dual American-French citizen of Chinese heritage. Her late husband Jerome was one of five French victims who perished in the World Trade Center terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. In 2013, the French Government bestowed on Ms. Lohez one of its highest civilian service awards, the Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Merite, for her tireless support of international education to promote friendship and cultural exchange among France, China and the United States.

Founded in 2005, in its first decade, the Lohez Foundation has awarded more than 30 individual scholarships to a growing constituency of outstanding young leaders, who will help shape the world we live in tomorrow.
