Jeep May Show New Concept at 2015 Moab Easter Safari

    CLEARWATER, FL, June 16, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The American automaker has upped the ante on its annual Easter Jeep Safari off-roading event by unleashing seven new concepts that were packed with Mopar and Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) and ready to take-on the challenging trails of Moab, Utah. Now in its 49th year, the 2015 Easter Jeep Safari event provided thousands of hardcore off-road enthusiasts with the opportunity to drive -- for an entire week -- on some of the country's most rugged trails. (1) In addition to the usual fun of the automaker's popular event, the brand decided to reveal seven new concepts that included a combination of production and prototype JPP, which were designed, engineered, built and quality-tested by Mopar, according to the SUV/off-road vehicle manufacturer. (2) The features were available to customers so that they could further enhance their Jeep's capabilities/performance when driving off the beaten path. (1)

Jeep's new concept models included the Chief, which drew inspiration from the original Cherokee and included a taste of the "west coast surfer lifestyle," as described by DriveArabia, the Staff Car, which possibly had clients reminiscing about the legendary Jeep military service vehicles. (3) Also included were the Desert Tan-painted Wrangler Africa, which is powered by a 2.8-liter diesel engine and features 35-inch BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires, (2) and the Grand Cherokee Overland, a wilderness-trekking SUV (1) draped in Sage Green, sporting SRT tail lights, winch, tow hooks, a 3.0-liter diesel V-6 and an easily deployable hard-shell rooftop tent, according to Autoblog. Other concepts included the Renegade Desert Hawk, which is based on Jeep's all-new small SUV (introduced in 2014), the Cherokee Canyon Trail and the Wrangler Red Rock Responder. (1)
