WORLEY, ID, July 15, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ted Lacy, Chief Executive Officer of Red Fox Inc., was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Branding. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

With an extensive professional background in farming, and 10 years of experience in the safety product field, Mr. Lacy currently demonstrates his innovative perspectives at Red Fox Inc. He prides himself on helping to solve major problems in his industry. On a daily basis, Mr. Lacy oversees all operations of Red Fox Inc., including production and sales, in addition to managing one part-time employee. Red Fox Inc. is a safety products manufacturer that provides an emergency shut-off system for power machinery, which Mr. Lacy's son has coined the Fox Paws. The Fox Paws is a control device housing a transmitter circuit, a receiver circuit and a processor, for the purpose of preventing injuries and saving lives in the workplace. Its name comes from its primary function: to stop, or "pause," equipment.

Mr. Lacy developed the Fox Paws for those working in oilfields, farms, correction facilities, and in health and safety management. The device can be conveniently worn on a belt or in a shirt pocket. In an emergency, it remotely triggers a safety shut-off switch for electric motors, and gas and diesel engines. The control device is configured to transmit a distress signal to a third remote from the power machinery, and provide an indication to attract the attention of others. Transmission of the distress signal is initiated after receiving the control signals to shut down the power machinery. Selective operation of a single emergency switch provided on the Fox Paws is configured to cause the control device to operate in a plurality of different modes, including disabling operation of the power machinery and preventing a third party from inadvertently initiating operation from a remote location. Mr. Lacy's research has found that 18.2 percent of all machine-entangled fatalities could have been prevented by using the technology of the Fox Paws.

The inspiration for this life-saving device came to Mr. Lacy only after having endured a nearly-fatal work-related accident. While operating the cleaning equipment on his 1,900-acre dryland farm, with 21 electric motors working different types of equipment, Mr. Lacy's clothing was caught on a piece of equipment and he was unable to escape. After struggling to get loose, he was dragged into the equipment. Thankfully, he had the prototype of the Fox Paws on his belt, which shut down the whole mill line and saved his life. Mr. Lacy realized that if the device worked for him, it could certainly help others, as well. Finding a solution to this dangerous, industry-wide problem has been one of the most gratifying aspects of Mr. Lacy's career. The products available at Red Fox Inc. allow workers to shut off equipment themselves when they are in an emergency, instead of relying on an outside third party, who may not react to the situation fast enough. Mr. Lacy plans to continue gaining more exposure for the Fox Paws so that more companies realize its value, and utilize it to prevent injury and death. He has developed 11 different models to fit any application.
