    KENOSHA, WI, September 05, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- RIGHTING THE WRONGS: Honoring Our Vietnam Veterans on the 40th Anniversary Year of the End of the Vietnam War

Governor Scott Walker has proclaimed September 7-13 as RIGHTING THE WRONGS week in Wisconsin. And the Mayor's Office of Kenosha will participate in a special program on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 530 pm at the Kenosha International Noble Garden of Peace site, Wolfenbuttel Park, Kenosha, Wisconsin (3rd Avenue & 60th Street).The 31st World Congress of Poets in Kenosha is sponsoring the event at the site of a proposed new Veterans Walk on the lakeshore near Kenosha Harbor.

The program is divided into three sections:

Restoring the Vietnamese Citizens and Country--U.S. Vietnam Veterans give examples in word and pictures of their return to Vietnam to restore water, public facilities, education, in villages where they lived during the war.

Restoring the Vietnam Veterans--Preventing suicide because of "suppressed moral injury", in a speech by Major General and Vietnam Veteran James H. Mukoyama, U.S. Army (retired), and CEO-President, Military Outreach USA. Preventing suicide "by taking care of themselves naturally", in a speech by Dr. Frank Yurasek, Ph.D., Alternative Medical Practitioner, Great Lakes Lovell Federal Health Care Center.

Restoring the Heart of Our Country--Vietnam Veteran K9 Handler Sgt. Joseph Loney tells his story of his two K9s "Rinty" and "Duke". K9 Teams' and the Walk of Tribute to commemorate the heroic dogs killed in action or left behind. Joining them will be AKC Hero Service Dog of the Year, Gander Service Dog and his Veteran handler, Lon Hodge of Chicago.
