Leading Cleveland Medical Malpractice Law Firm to Reward Students for Medical Malpractice Videos

The Eisen Law Firm is offering two $500 scholarships to students who create exceptional medical malpractice advocacy videos

CLEVELAND, OH, September 21, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- By engaging students in a creative media production project, prominent Cleveland medical malpractice law firm, The Eisen Law Firm, aims to inspire young adults to use their talents to increase public awareness of medical malpractice, and to advocate for its victims. One winner will be selected from each of two divisions--high school, and undergraduate or law school--to receive a $500 scholarship.

"I am passionate about eradicating preventable medical mistakes," said Managing Partner of The Eisen Law Firm, Brian Eisen. "By educating teens and young adults about the dangers of malpractice, I hope our firm can spark the same passion in a younger generation."

Contestants are asked to create a video that is no longer than two-minutes. Videos must be uploaded to YouTube for critique no later than January 15, 2016. Winners will be announced on the Eisen Law Firm website http://www.malpracticeohio.com/scholarships/ and via the firm's social media handles during the month of March, 2016. Videos must address either of the following prompts:

1. Medical malpractice lawyers are often the butt of jokes. Tell us your favorite lawyer joke. Then tell us why it isn't funny.

2. In Shakespeare's "Henry VI," Dick The Butcher says, "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers." Why might that be a bad idea for the future quality of health care?

The Eisen Law Firm will judge videos based 75 percent on content and 25 percent on creativity. Contestants may use animation, props, costumes, or other creative attributes in the video recorded on a personal SmartPhone, camcorder or other device.

When uploading projects to YouTube, contestants must mark their videos as "unlisted." Once the video is available online, students may apply here. Please have the following information ready: name, address, educational level, school attending, contact information and a link to the unlisted video.

Note eligibility requirements: Only one video may be submitted per applicant. Team applications will be accepted if team members are willing to split the scholarship amongst themselves. High school division applicants must be members of the Class of 2016 and attend an Ohio high school. Undergraduate or law school division applicants must attend an accredited Ohio undergraduate college, university or law school. By applying, contestants give The Eisen Law Firm the exclusive right to use and publish submitted material.
