SALT LAKE CITY, UT, November 22, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Compliance Information Systems (CIS) is pleased to announce our electronic CCF and DOT Physicals systems integration project between FirstLab's "FirstRequest" online ordering system and FormFox. FirstLab is a recognized industry leader in compliance and safety management services headquartered in Chalfont, PA.

The integration allows First Lab's FirstRequest system users to pre-order drug tests to any one of over 3200 occupational clinics or drug test collection organizations that are part of the FormFox network. It will also provide electronic commercial driver medical exams (CDMEs) at select clinics. Employers or organizations placing test orders can use the system to locate clinics and collection sites, submit an order for services, and generate patient/donor authorization forms. This capability simplifies the drug test collection and exam process by eliminating the need to utilize antiquated, paper based forms and ensuring a more accurate data transaction between the employer, collector and laboratory.

The integration also provides a fully paperless software platform guiding medical examiners and collectors who are conducting DOT Physicals and drug screen collections, which removes the risk of most of the errors that result from the paper based processes.

CIS's Chief Operating Officer, Kurt Bother explains "The FirstLab relationship is important strategically to CIS, both in terms of facilitating the deployment of the new DOT physical exam product, as well as broadening the FormFox network overall. Their expertise in the transportation and compliance segment of the market will be valuable to ensuring that FormFox continues to develop to meet this critical segment's needs."

The integration provides FirstLab clients with the following benefits:

Drug Testing:
- Pre-order drug or alcohol tests via the innovative FirstRequest test ordering system. This provides the specimen collector with important test requirement data such as the reason for test, donor ID, observation requirements, testing panel requirements and more.
- Ability to locate specimen collection sites that are enabled to perform drug test collections via the formfox system thereby eliminating the need for the use of antiquated "5-part" custody and control forms.
- 90%+ fewer errors during the collection process reducing the chances of collecting and processing invalid tests.
- Real-time collection status updates
- Viewable CCF images in the First Request system (employer copy)
- Eliminates the need for collection sites or donors to manage pre-printed chains-of-custody documents. Documents are printed on demand at the collection site.

Currently the system manages non-regulated or "non-federal" testing, however, in 2015, the Department of Transportation (DOT) approved the use of electronic chain-of-custody systems for use for federal testing. SAMSHA certified laboratories are currently in the final stages of a required NLCP audit before live electronic CCF transactions can occur. The drug and alcohol testing industry anticipates that federal DOT electronic CCF drug collections will begin transacting in early 2016 for many laboratories.

DOT Physicals:
The FormFox integrated system provides:
- Web-based DOT physicals ordering system via FirstLab's First Request ordering system
- Web-based platform drivers to pre-enter health history information prior to the examination
- Guided software wizard designed specifically for DOT physicals data entry by the examiner or assistant staff
- Print on demand exam form and medical certificates
- Automated physicals data transmission to the FMCSA website
- Physicals data sent back to FirstLab's data management system
