EUROPEAN STEMWARE GOES GREEN

Zalto Denk'Art offers the finest lead-free crystal

/24-7PressRelease/ - MIAMI, FL, February 21, 2008 - Fine stemware has jumped the bandwagon and gone green. When asked whether lead or unleaded, one usually thinks about gassing up the tank of their car. Now, you can also contemplate lead or unleaded when shopping for wine glasses. WineArtWorld.com is unveiling a new line of mouth-blown Austrian stemware, the Zalto Denk'Art Collection, which are not only uniquely designed but also lead-free.

What health risks does lead pose? A Columbia University study found in 1991 that it is probably safe to have wine with dinner from your glasses, though varying trace amounts of lead do leach out of lead crystal. Lead is a chronic hazard that can damage the nervous system, the kidneys and bone marrow. Fetuses and small children are particularly sensitive to lead. Jerry Burke, the director of the F.D.A.'s Office of Physical Science, recommends you do not use lead crystal every day. "Occasional use is all right, but if you have a daily glass of wine, don't drink it from a crystal goblet". (Source: New York Times, February 20th, 1991)

Josef Puehringer and wife, Aileen Gonzalez, founders of WineArtWorld.com, are avid wine drinkers who stumbled upon the Zalto Denk'Art wine glasses on one of their many trips to Puehringer's native country, Austria. "The delicate design, touch and most of all taste from the Zalto glass impressed us. Afterwards, we found out that the glasses are lead-free and dishwasher safe. I have never seen a wine glass like this in America and thought it would be great to import the Zalto Denk'Art Collection", says Gonzalez.

In addition to removing the lead from the glass, the Zalto Glass Manufacturer, has incorporated research dating back to the ancient Roman times to develop the design of the Zalto Denk'Art glass. The curves of the bowl were created in accordance to the tilt angles of the Earth, 24°, 48° and 72°, which was found by the ancient Romans to enhance the taste of the wine and also keep produce fresher.

It is no wonder that the Denk'Art wine glasses are used by the most famous wineries in Europe. Wine sommeliers and connoisseurs from around the globe agree the Zalto Denk'Art wine glass will intensify the bouquet and taste of any fine wine. Francois Mauss, president of the "Grand Jury European" said "I didn't think, that there would be anything better on the glass-market ... this glass is. Moreover it has something erotic ...".

Karen Page and Andrew Dornenburg from the The Washington Post wrote on the January 2, 2008 wine column: "We recently discovered Zalto Denk'Art glassware from Austria, whose elegant, eye-catching design first piqued our interest and whose dishwasher-safe performance won us over. These glasses allow us to swirl and view appealing whites and inhale the bold aromas of reds. If we use them every weekday for a year, we'll have upgraded every sip of wine we drink for just a few dimes a day".
