Author Burt Clinchandhill Announces Debut Novel: Kursk, the Tragedy of 118 Men

After a 30 year hiatus, Burt Clinchandhill has returned from other fields to pursue his dream of writing and is pleased to have finally finished his first novel.

WOERDEN, NETHERLANDS, December 03, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Burt Clinchandhill has loved writing since his youth, when he used to write short stories. As an adult, he spent decades pursuing other careers, but has recently returned to writing, which is where his true passion lies.

Clinchandhill's debut novel is called Kursk. It is partly based on a true story and is about a naval officer who is assigned to serve on a Russian submarine, testing a super torpedo in the Barents Sea. An accidental collision between the Kursk and another boat results in an explosion which leaves the men aboard struggling to survive on their own, when their government denies any knowledge of them or the incident and refuses to send help. Kursk is a political drama, filled with drama, tension, and suspense.

About the novel, reader Julie W. states, "Once a reader has begun the story, putting the book down is next to impossible. In addition to being a factual recount, it is also an emotionally driven story that sucks in any reader with a heart and a soul. This recount of a tragic incident that affected hundreds of lives is a powerful piece of writing."

Kursk is currently available for preorder and will be released on December 7, 2015. It is available at multiple venues, including Amazon, Smashwords, Barnes & Noble, and iTunes. It is also available in both paperback and e-book formats.
