Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Kimberly Ann Phillips as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    BRANSON, MO, December 12, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kimberly Ann Phillips, Admissions and Outreach Coordinator at Clarity Recovery and Wellness, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Kimberly Ann Phillips will be featured in the upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2015/2016.

Completing a dental program and graduating with a 4.0 GPA from Vatterrott as a Dental Assistant in 2011, Kimberly Ann Phillips was searching for her next position when she came across an ad for a detox technician. Interviewing for the position in February 2012, she landed the job that quickly became an opportunity that would change her life forever.

"There are many reasons why I love working in addiction services," Mrs. Phillips explained. "There is no way to describe the feeling you get when you speak with someone who is asking for help, getting them into detox, watching them overcome withdrawal symptoms, transferring them into residential treatment, and witnessing that transformation happen."

As the Admissions and Outreach Coordinator at Clarity Recovery and Wellness, Mrs. Phillips coordinates all residential bed dates for inpatient substance abuse treatment. She meets with clients in the detox to help them with a plan to receive further treatment, and she meets with the residential clients to offer assistance with resources to help them continue a clean and sober lifestyle upon discharge from residential.

Having since earned her Recognized Adult Substance Abuse Counselor certificate from the Missouri Credentialing Board for Substance Abuse Professionals in 2014, Mrs. Phillips is active as an Ambassador for the Table Rock Chamber of Commerce, is a Committee Member for the non-profit of the Table Rock Chamber of Commerce, and is a Board Member on the Healthy Families Taskforce.
