Free Roundtable Discussion on New Marijuana Regulations Join this Historic Conversation, Network and Attend Benefit Concert

    SACRAMENTO, CA, January 04, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- On January 19, 2016, the California Cannabis Industry Association and Cal Heritage invite the cannabis industry and interested individuals to the Crest Theatre, 1013 K Street, Sacramento, California, for a full day of informative activities and great music. The event begins at 9:00 a.m. with a Cannabis Policy Architects Roundtable Discussion and culminates in the evening with a concert featuring the Sons of Champlin, featuring special guest Barry "The Fish" Melton, originally of Country Joe and the Fish.

Right now, Counties throughout the State of California are writing and reviewing new ordinances. California has new legislation in the works for both legalization of marijuana and the regulation of medical marijuana. Cal Heritage considers it imperative to identify and bring together policy experts that work with state legislators and agencies to implement sensibly-crafted regulations. Be part of the pro-active conversation that will shape responsible laws and impact California's economic future.

Now, more than at any time in California's recent history, the cannabis industry is at a critical point. Counties throughout the state are creating and adopting serious limitations and highly restrictive regulations that may criminalize commonplace activities that are legal today.

As a result of the critical nature of participation in the process, Cal Heritage and California Cannabis Industry Assoc. are providing this roundtable discussion as a free of charge public benefit forum. There are no fees for attending the roundtable discussion on January 19, 2016.

After roundtable discussions and public hearings, return to the Crest Theatre for a benefit concert with The Sons of Champlin, including special guest Barry "The Fish" Melton. These seminal musicians of the 1960's "San Francisco Sound" bring their talents to promote unity and leadership among cannabis industry members. Concert tickets are $45, with all proceeds benefiting Cal Heritage's work on responsible cannabis regulations and related community development efforts.

An iconic image by Stanley Mouse has been loaned for this rare reunion concert. Mouse is one of the great rock poster artists of the 1960's; his artwork has been featured on countless album covers for the Grateful Dead, Journey and others.
