William Frederick Skewes Celebrates 45 Years as an Attorney

Mr. Skewes has 45 years of experience in law, with 27 years as principal of William F. Skewes, Attorney at Law. His areas of expertise include corporate business and real estate law, as well as state and probate law. Mr. Skewes' role entails providing clients legal services and consultation in the areas of general civil practice, business, commercial, partnership, corporation, estate planning, probate, tax litigation and real estate law. He is a former thirty-three year board member at CREDO Petroleum, through which he attained great experience and expertise in the legal and finance aspects of the oil and gas industry.

Mr. Skewes attributes his many years of professional success to having built strong business relationships, especially as a partner in the Denver law firm of Kelly, Stansfield & O'Donnell. He became involved in his profession because law is a deep family tradition going as far back as 500 years, so it was a natural choice for him.

Mr. Skewes received his JD from the University of Minnesota in 1970, after graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in economics and political science from the same university in 1967. He is admitted to practice in the states of Minnesota and Colorado, before the federal courts in Colorado and before the United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and also maintains affiliation with the Colorado Bar Foundation, Denver Law Club, Jefferson County Republican Party as Past Chairman, Jefferson County Liquor Licensing Authority, Denver Law Club, the Business Law Section, Real Estate Law Section, and Trust and Estate Section of the Colorado Bar Foundation Association, Corporate Code Revision Committee of the Colorado Bar Association, Minnesota State and American Bar Associations, and is a graduate of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.
