TORONTO, ON, March 05, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In December 2015, BrightLane hosted the second annual BrightLane Entrepreneur Awards. Entrepreneurs from around the GTA came to compete for 6-months Membership at BrightLane, where they could grow their business. A judging panel consisting of established entrepreneurs listened to the competitors' 60-second elevator pitches and decided whether to hear their full pitch in person, or decline with hopes of seeing them pitch again in next year's competition.

At the end of the day, 10 winners were chosen from over 100 applications. The winners receive a 6-month free Membership at BrightLane and the chance to compete for the $25,000 grand prize and another 6-months at BrightLane's co-work facilities on KingWest in the heart of Toronto. The winning companies were WishPad, Xesto, Reforges, StockJocks, The Raw Office, Scent Trunk, DRVEN, Scinapsis, University Hub and CubbySpot.

The famous BrightLane 60 Second Elevator Pitches were recorded and highlights show just how tough this competition is. When asked why he decided to compete in the BrightLane Entrepreneur Awards, Jeff Golfman, Founder and CEO of Raw Office said, "It's a very attractive and great place to work and I want to work here. At the same time I'm quite interested in some mentorship, community and things like that, that the competition was offering".

Interviews with the competitors help highlight BrightLane's ethos of supporting entrepreneurs in the early stages of developing their business. The footage from the in-person pitches and interviews was compiled into a 5-minute long highlight video, available at http://bit.ly/1KG6A9r.

When asked about his experience competing in the BrightLane Entrepreneur Awards, Jeff said, "It was nerve racking, but it was also really fun. It was a great experience, having to go through the process of writing the pitch, practicing the pitch and then actually delivering it. It was a lot of fun and it taught me a lot about my own business and about the value proposition in what I'm offering. It really got me thinking about it. Even though it was nerve racking, I thought it was a great process to go through."
