AParallelWorld.com Wants to Know If Bernie Sanders is Right About Fracking

Members Polled About Candidates' Position on the Controversial Practice

SANTA FE, NM, March 10, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- AParallelWorld.com (APW), a website claiming to provide "a complete strategy" for helping Americans transition to a sustainable lifestyle, is conducting its fourth nation-wide survey. Its previous surveys have queried its members about sustainability, GMOs and alternative energy. APW's latest survey concerns fracking, the controversial method of oil extraction that came into sharp focus last Sunday in the Democrats' most recent debate, held in Flint, Michigan.

When asked about their positions on fracking, Clinton spoke at length about the practice, whose critics say causes water pollution and earthquakes. Seemingly reluctant to come out completely against fracking, Clinton said she'd like to see more regulations of the industry. She also explained that state and local fracking laws take precedence over federal laws.

In contrast to Hillary's hedging and convoluted answer, Bernie Sanders was succinct and unequivocal in his opposition to fracking, stating that he was opposed to it. Sanders also said that Democratic governors who believe that fracking doesn't cause harm to the environment "are wrong."

The APW website identifies six broad areas ("Home Energy," "Transportation," "Food Security," Personal Products," "Independent Media" and "Your Money") where an individual can have the biggest impact on protecting the planet and saving money. The site provides six corresponding "marketplaces" listing "green" vendors who offer special discounts and bonuses to all APW members. Providing free service to its members, and free listings to its vendors for an initial period, APW's focus is to provide resources for America's sustainable transition.

Explaining this most recent survey, APW founder, Alan Hoffman said, "We've been reaching out to our members in this series of surveys to better understand their positions on the environment. We know these surveys aren't scientific because our membership tends to be a demographic already concerned about the environment. And yet we see these surveys as both an outreach and an educational effort."

Continued Hoffman, "For years, we've been observing that the signs of the sustainable revolution are all around us. From the response we've gotten in our previous three surveys, we are more certain than ever that this revolution is well underway."
