New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission Approves Online Defensive Driving Course

The American Safety Council announces the approval of its online New Jersey defensive driving course by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC). This online course enables drivers to receive a 2-point reduction on their driver licenses and a 3-year mandatory insurance discount.



    /24-7PressRelease/ - ORLANDO, FL, February 29, 2008 - The American Safety Council is proud to announce the approval of its online New Jersey defensive driving course by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC).

Available at www.NewJerseyDefensiveDriving.com, this course enables drivers to receive a 2-point reduction on their driver licenses. Drivers also qualify for a 3-year mandatory discount on their insurance premiums.

Previously, this course has only been available in the classroom.

"By taking the course online, drivers can complete state-approved training to receive their 2-point reduction and insurance discount," said Bob Proechel, president of the American Safety Council. "Students can work at their own paces and log on and off whenever they like. It's a simple, convenient and effective way to educate drivers."

The American Safety Council's online course discusses safe driving strategies in general and their application to safe driving in New Jersey in particular.
