CC1, Inc. and Mark Andy Inc. Announce Supplier Partnership

Leading Press Manufacturer to Offer CC1's Camera-based Automatic Register Control on Legacy Flexo Press Lines

PORTSMOUTH, NH, May 27, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- CC1, Inc. and Mark Andy of Chesterfield, MO today announce they have entered into a partnership agreement to offer a camera-based, mark-to-mark automatic registration controller system engineered specifically for Mark Andy presses. Currently offered through the Mark Andy retrofits team, the register control system is compatible with Mark Andy 2200 and 4150 press models. Future development plans include an expansion into additional press lines.

The jointly developed integrated register control system will be instrumental in efficient automatic setting of register during make-ready, controlling both circumferential and lateral register throughout all jobs. The compact "Smart Camera" design allows the register control cameras to be mounted in between print stations for faster corrections. Calibration parameters for a wide variety of substrates including films, foils, pressure sensitive, board and paper stocks are stored and can be recalled based on the requirements of the job. The system will work with Mark Andy's existing registration system to even more effectively manage registration during make-ready, reducing startup waste and make-ready time.

CC1's President, James Lewis commented that, "The ability to partner with a respected and recognized name such as Mark Andy in the aftermarket arena is a fantastic opportunity for CC1. The depth of Mark Andy's reach in the printing industry and their reputation as an industry leader gives CC1 the ability to provide our cutting-edge press register technologies to a much wider customer base. And with our register control system available through Mark Andy aftermarket sales, CC1 will be making available to label printers 50-75% waste savings versus legacy systems in establishing color register during make-ready, with minimal operator intervention."

Steve Schulte, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Mark Andy Inc., remarked that "Mark Andy prides itself on being a total solutions partner. The very nature of this agreement between the two companies is a highly complementary fit. The ability to combine CC1's engineering and technical expertise in the register control arena with Mark Andy's proven proficiencies in narrow web printing technologies, allows us to provide customers with the most advanced capabilities commercially available today. Extending this register control capability to our extensive installation base makes this a win-win for Mark Andy, CC1 and our mutual customers."
