Kraft & Associates Attorneys and Staff Members Take Steps in Walk to Cure Arthritis

In support of a team led by the wife of one of the firm's lawyers, the North Texas disability and injury law firm pounded the pavement to raise money to advance arthritis research.

We are committed to easing the pain and impairment caused by arthritis, improving the lives of those with the disease and working toward a cure.

DALLAS, TX, June 03, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Matthew Stewart, an attorney with Kraft & Associates Attorneys at Law, P.C., joined his wife Amy and hundreds of other participants to make strides in the fight against arthritis during the Arthritis Foundation's Walk to Cure Arthritis on Saturday, May 21, in Arlington.

The event included both a 1-mile and a 5-kilometer walk that began at Globe Life Park, home to the Texas Rangers baseball team in Arlington. The goal of the walk was to raise awareness about arthritis and raise money to help fight the debilitating disease. As of June 1, the organization reported that the event had brought in more than $88,000 in donations.

Amy Stewart, who is married to Kraft & Associates attorney Matthew Stewart, served as captain of a team dubbed "Amy and the Anti-Inflammatories" that took part in the fundraising event. As someone who has arthritis, Amy knows firsthand how the disease affects people who have the condition. Her money-raising efforts exceeded her personal goal of $500.

As in years past, the individuals who make up the firm of Kraft & Associates backed Amy's team to show their support for finding a cure for arthritis. The disease hits home for the lawyers and staff at the firm, which represents many individuals who are seeking Social Security Disability benefits because they are no longer able to work due to disabling conditions like arthritis.

"My wife Amy and many of our law firm's clients are among the millions of people of all ages across the United States who are affected by arthritis," Matthew Stewart said. "We are committed to easing the pain and impairment caused by arthritis, improving the lives of those with the disease and working toward a cure. Our participation in the Walk to Cure Arthritis was a small - but important - step toward achieving those goals."

The firm has also made an effort to spread information about arthritis by hosting a page devoted to the Walk to Cure Arthritis on its website. In addition to details about the walk, the site also features an infographic that includes important facts about arthritis and an online survey about the disease and its effects on individuals who have it.

"The money the Walk to Cure Arthritis generated for the Arthritis Foundation will go toward making life better for people with the disease," Matthew Stewart said. "The law firm of Kraft & Associates was honored to again take part in this important effort.

The firm encourages donations to the team's fundraising efforts, which can still be made through the Arthritis Foundation's website.
