Jury Trial Demanded

Plaintiff Suffering From Lung Problems Due To Exposure On Cape May-Lewes Ferries

RARITAN, NJ, June 14, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The law firm of Hofmann & Schweitzer has filed a complaint on behalf of Frank Maloney, a man who worked as a ship's engineer on various ferryboats owned and operated by the Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) for 25 years.

As a result of exposure to diesel fumes and other noxious gases during the course of his work, Mr. Maloney now experiences debilitating lung problems, including pulmonary inflammatory disease. This illness has led to the development of a condition known as bronchiolitis obliterans, an irreversible, life-threatening lung disease that causes extreme discomfort.

The evidence will show that the exposure was the result of unseaworthy vessels - owned and operated by the DRBA - that exposed our client to high levels of aerosolized diesel fuel and diesel engine exhaust fumes and other toxic vapors, chemicals, dusts and particulate matter.

About Hofmann & Schweitzer: We are a New York and New Jersey personal injury firm that has been representing maritime workers for more than 35 years. We have an exceptional track record of verdicts and settlements in Jones Act cases.
