Popular Actual Play Dungeons and Dragons Podcast Launches Kickstarter to Fund Creation of World Book

    WASHINGTON, DC, June 28, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Godsfall announced that it was raising funds via Kickstarter to finish the development of the Godsfall Worldbook, based on the wildly popular, actual play Dungeons and Dragons 5e podcast, now in its second year with over 40+ episodes. Officially launched on June 12th, the Kickstarter is currently at 145% of goal, far surpassing the original target of $15,000.

Over two seasons and 40+ episodes the story has revealed itself to the players to be remarkably complex and thoroughly thought through. The podcasts are so highly produced and entertaining that listeners are lost in an experience more reminiscent of classic radio dramas. Launching at the midway point of season two, the Worldbook is a full-size hardcover book with full-color, edge-to-edge printing and over 200 pages of original art, rules, story and maps from the Godsfall world.

Story Summary: Godsfall is a broken land. A land in which the Old Gods slaughtered one another in a great war that ravaged the world and stripped divine and arcane casters alike of their magic. It is a world where the five kingdoms that remain bicker over resources, taking up arms to defend shipping lanes and tariffs instead of a common defense. The Kickstarter is primarily designed to fund the hardcover book, starting at the $50 level, but backers can get the entire book via PDF for as little as $10. There are additional funding levels for full color maps ($75), naming rights for NPCs ($100), a special level of Local Game Stores to receive below-market books ($175) and online seminars with DM Aram for world building.
