Real Estate Investors and Hospitality Industry Will Benefit From New Patent for Meth Contamination Detector

Absolute Products is currently seeking effective partners to invest in its unique patent for a cost-effective way to detect presence of meth contamination.

My aim was to develop a cost-effective meth detector that could detect the manufacture of meth, and therefore warn clients, as early as possible

ATHENS, TN, July 14, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- More than 10 years ago, inventor and owner of Absolute Products, Marc Allyn and his wife were planning to purchase an investment property when - just in time - they discovered it was contaminated with methamphetamine. Having a background in the design and implementation of chemical sensors, Allyn then decided to invent a cost-effective methamphetamine production sensor - or meth detector. He now has a patent for his innovative invention and will respond to serious inquiries from possible partners in the United States.

Allyn's detector is designed to protect the hospitality industry, rental property investors and government housing projects from a destructive epidemic.

"My aim was to develop a cost-effective meth detector that could detect the manufacture of meth, and therefore warn clients, as early as possible," says Allyn. "Most existing detection methods could only detect meth after contamination had already happened. My wife and I have seen the damage that this drug can cause with residents becoming sick and investors suffering devastating financial losses."

Many facets were involved in the development of this detector: the characteristics of the gases, types of sensors, trigger levels, chemicals to be detected, and the prevention of false positives; all this while still making it cost effective.

Absolute Products has received interest in its patent from New Zealand and Australia but is cautious about partnering with overseas companies where it cannot be sure the local distributors are able to move forward effectively. The company would prefer to find serious interest in the United States. The current patent has a continuation filed, meaning that anything added later will be applied to the original patent creation date. Also, the patent is not limited to the sensor but also includes communication and reporting methods, making it the only patented product of its kind.
