Christopher Vichiola Honored by Marquis Who's Who for Excellence in Political Activism

    DANBURY, CT, July 18, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Christopher Michael Vichiola has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Mr. Vichiola is a writer, educator and political activist who has achieved a myriad of accomplishments over the course of his life. Having been very involved with various campaigns over the years, he is perhaps best known for his work regarding voting rights and the United Nations Global Citizenship Program. Notably, he was asked by President Barack Obama to restructure the criminal justice system, and was selected as a permanent fixture to assist the president. Mr. Vichiola was appointed adviser to President Obama's Honorary Kitchen Cabinet in 2009. Most recently, he accepted a position as training captain with the Connecticut Democratic Party, year 2017. He also accepted a training position with the Leadership Circle of the Democratic National Committee, Washington, DC. He attended the Anil Markose Cyber-Security Class on March 28, 2017 and accepted a new position with the New York City Planning Committee for the Peoples Environment Climate March to be held on April 29, 2017 in Washington, DC. Here, he also worked as a security marshal. On April 12, 2017, he completed cyber-espionage security training with Congressman Jim Himes, ranking member of the National Security Agency on the Cybersecurity Subcommittee on Intelligence Training. On June 3, 2017, he served as a security marshal with the New York City Police Department at the March for Truth Criminal Investigation of Donald Trump and Russian President Putin in New York City's Foley Square. He has been invited to a June 27, 2017 meeting with Chelsea Clinton of the 20/30, Clinton Foundation, in New York City.

Mr. Vichiola has received multiple honors in recognition of his efforts. In 2015 alone, he received an award for co-sponsoring President Obama's Iran treaty, an award from Senator Diane Feinstein for his investigative work at Abu Garihb Prison and Guantanamo Bay Prison, an award from Senator Richard Blumenthal for co-sponsoring the college campus sexual assault law, and an award from Amnesty International attorney Cindy Ko for co-sponsoring an investigation on criminal government crimes, among other awards. One of his most recent recognitions was an award from Al Gore for work with the Climate Reality Project.

Mr. Vichiola received an award from President Barack Obama and Amy Pope, Deputy Commissioner of Homeland Security, for his work on the Syrian refugee crisis. Elizabeth Sawyer of Brave New Films presented an award to Mr. Vichiola for helping to produce the film "Making a Killing: Guns, Greed and the NRA." Mr. Vichiola also received an award from Democracy Spring for his work on voting rights protection, an award for his work on women's protective rights law from Vice President Joe Biden, and a Presidential Partner award from Democratic National Committee CEO Amy K. Dacey and President Barack Obama. He was also recognized for outstanding contribution to the Holcombe Rucker Entertainers Basketball Classic and received a certificate of appreciation from the Tuskegee Airman CAF Red Tail Angels Squadron, of which he is a Circle Member. He is a founding member of the Statue of Liberty Museum and a sponsor of the General George S. Patton Memorial Museum which inducted him into Patton's Patriots Enlistment Registry.

Aside from his political work, Mr. Vichiola served as a key supporter and educator of the Christic Institute Law Firm's Iran-Contra LA Penca Lawsuit. He is a graduate of Colonel James Gritz's Special Forces Green Beret On-Field Medical Surgical School, and has completed Navy SEAL training as well. Furthermore, Mr. Vichiola is an alumnus of Western Connecticut State University, from which he holds a Bachelor of Arts and an Associate of Science. He also received a black belt in the martial art of Ninjutsu from Masaaki Hatsumi, Japan. The many roles that he has fulfilled over the years include martial arts teacher, sales professional, power equipment specialist and behavioral counselor.

Mr. Vichiola is a skilled writer as well. He authored "Above the Law: The Real Story's Files," published in 1995, "Above the Law Part II," published in 1995, "The Real Story of Christopher Vichiola and Colonel Gritz," published in 1997, and "The Real Story of Christopher Vichiola and Colonel Gritz's Training," published in 1997. His writings and many endeavors were taken into account when he was chosen to be featured in the 54th through 70th editions of Who's Who in America, the 7th and 8th editions of Who's Who in American Education, the 27th and 28th editions of Who's Who in the East, and the 18th through 33rd editions of Who's Who in the World. He was recently recognized with a Marquis Who's Who Lifetime Achievement Award.
