In her professional life, she has worked as a cosmetologist, artist and hair stylist, and has authored short stories and numerous poems. She continued her education as a student at the University of California in Santa Barbara and at Buenaventura College.
Internationally recognized for her talents and artwork, Ms. Yvonne Maree Thomas-John was the first round winner in painting in the Hathaway Competition and received an award from the Sydney Newspaper for her art. In a recent interview, Ms. Yvonne Maree Thomas-John admitted that her exhibitions stand out as the highlights of her career.
