    MARIETTA, GA, September 01, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jianzhong Huang, MD, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. A fellow of the International College of Surgeons, Dr. Huang is widely recognized for his contributions to medicine and science. Upon receiving an MD from Tongji Medical University in 1985, he began working as a resident in surgery at Nanjing Children's Hospital, becoming an attending surgeon in 1991. Dr. Huang later moved to the United States, where he pursued postdoctoral coursework at the Medical College of Georgia and Columbia University. His additional affiliations include the American College of Phlebology, American Chinese Medical Association, Chinese Pediatric Surgical Association, Chinese Medical Association and International Society of Vascular Surgery. In 2001, Dr. Huang served as the chair of the oral session of urology at the Symposium of Pediatric Surgery for the 23rd International Congress of Pediatrics.

Outside of his celebrated medical career, Dr. Huang is also a dedicated scientist. From 2001 to 2012, he worked as an associate research scientist with Columbia University Medical Center before becoming a resident in surgery with Morristown Medical Center in 2012. He is credited with inventing a tumor model used to investigate the effects of antitumor agents on large, metastatic tumors. In addition, he was involved in the discovery of the regression of established tumors and metastases by a potent antiangiogenic agent. Dr. Huang holds multiple patents for tumor regression with VEGF Inhibitors, among other discoveries.

A recognized authority in the field of medicine and science, Dr. Huang has contributed articles to a variety of professional journals. He is the recipient of the Aventis Young Investigator Award from the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group and the Clinical Investigator Award from the National Cancer Institute. His ongoing work has also been recognized by a variety of honors publications, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, and Who's Who in the World.
