Fears over technology stealing sales jobs were expressed following the advent of the phone and the internet and just last year, Forrester Research predicted that one million B2B salespeople would become obsolete by 2020.

But the US Department of Labor has projected that the employment of sales managers will increase by 8% through 2022; and the 2016 Career Builder study predicted that sales hiring in 2016 will increase by 27%.
