Artmart Donates Art Supplies to Ranken Jordan for Farewell to the Field Event, Upcoming Inspiration Gallery Event

Artmart will be donating paint and more than 200 canvases for the upcoming Inspiration Gallery event on Fri., November 4.

ST. LOUIS, MO, September 24, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Ranken Jordan hospital is not only well-known for giving children with cancer and other complicated illnesses unsurpassed, specialized medical care. They also excel at helping their young patients explore the world around them through their many interactive activities and programs.

Recently, Ranken Jordan held their Farewell to the Field event on Sat., September 10 at their location in Maryland Heights. That day, the Junior Board members, who range from age 6 to 18 and hold a passion for helping other children, helped put on the family-friendly field day and assisted in various activities including face painting, beanbag tossing, spoon racing. Participants were also invited to leave their marks on the Farewell to the Field art project, which signified the final event on the hospital's multipurpose outdoor field before construction begins this October.

Artmart, the local art supply store, graciously donated art supplies to help make this event a success. Children were able to use these art supplies to create unique works of art as a way of celebrating the field's closing and the beginning of the hospital's latest expansion.

Artmart is also donating paint and more than 200 canvases for Ranken Jordan's upcoming event, Inspiration Gallery, which will be held Fri., November 4. These art supplies will help Ranken Jordan's patients to create and sell works of art as a means of raising funds to support the hospital's therapeutic art program. All are welcome to come and be inspired by these young artists, view their artwork, and learn how they express themselves and heal through artwork.

"At Artmart, we know full well the positive healing effects that art and art therapy have on people of all ages," said Keith Baizer, owner of Artmart. "We are incredibly proud and honored to be lending a helping hand and donating art supplies to help make these events successful and enjoyable for all."
