ulalaLAB Establishes ulala China in Shanghai to Rule the Chinese Market with Korean-style Smart Factory Platform

Smart factory platform developer ulalaLAB(CEO Kang Hak-ju) announced Sep. 16 that it will establish a joint venture "ulala-Stone China, Ltd" with Aisai Stone, an investment company in China.

ANYANG, KOREA, September 28, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Smart factory platform developer ulalaLAB (CEO Kang Hak-ju) announced Sep. 16 that it will establish a joint venture "ulala-Stone China, Ltd" with Aisai Stone, an investment company in China.

With the establishment of joint venture, ulalaLAB is taking the official step with its Korean-style smart factory platform WimFactory to Chinese and Asian market, the world's largest manufacturing area. Also, it participated in China's smart factory pilot project run by ECIT(East China Institute of Telecommunications), planning to implement WimFactory platform to three to five factories in China within this year.

WimFactory is a low-cost, high-efficiency smart factory platform that costs only 1/10 of the cost that small manufacturers have to pay to build a conventional factory. It connects to many sensors to measure and collect data on the temperature, moisture, and pressure of the facilities, and real-time monitoring is possible through smartphones, tablets, and PCs. Also, with the big data analysis and machine learning technology based on the data collected, it can notify malfunction or emergency situations to the users.

WimFactory has earned the technology and price competitiveness with its high-level IoT and sensing technology, cloud platform, big data analysis, and machine learning algorithm, and won the competition in the smart factory solution market which can cost hundreds of thousand dollars, thus receiving much attention from both the domestic and international market.

UlalaLAB is expecting that WimFactory will significantly reduce the loss from defects manufactured in Chinese factories, and it has received the technology certification at Tsingdao Nike shoe factory in last July, where the platform was already implemented.

CEO Kang said, "Our short-term goal is to implement WimFactory solution in the industrial zone in large cities in China, and we would like to see WimFactory being applied to not only manufacturing, but in other industries as well."

Currently, ulalaLAB has implemented WimFactory to Nike factory in Indonesia and auto part factory of Hyundai and Kia Motors in Korea, and is receiving many inquiries from Mexico, Germany, and Europe. In May, it signed MOU with Shandong Micro Sensor Photonics to co-develop a smart factory platform with optical sensors. In August, it signed MOU with Sweden's 143-year-old industrial tool company Atlas Copco to make a smart factory together.
