BATON ROUGE, LA, October 12, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Louisiana's adopted son, DeiAmor Verus, the break-out author of the bestselling book "Talk To God" and creator of the national anti-terrorism campaign "1 Act of Kindness", will visit Baton Rouge October 13th and 14th to personally thank every police officer and firefighter who worked tirelessly to help the flood victims of August 13th. While visiting the 21 fire stations and the 5 police stations servicing Baton Rouge Verus will gift each first responder with a red wristband emblazoned with the phrase "1 Act of Kindness".

"I would like the people of Baton Rouge, the state of Louisiana, and everyone across the America, to join me in thanking Fire Chief Ed Smith, Police Chief Carl Dabadie and their people whose amazing efforts helped the people of Baton Rouge in their time of need," said Verus. "Many of the police and firefighters stayed on the job while their families and homes were victimized by the rains on the morning of August 13th," Verus added.

The wristbands significance that Verus will deliver are part of his campaign to fight terrorism by taking care and protecting each other in our neighborhoods and parishes. If you see something - say something. "Baton Rouge has been through some rough times, even before the flood. These wristbands need to become a sign of unity, patience, understanding, and care for one another. We all need to work together knowing that our city officials, police, and firefighters, have everybody's safety in mind. When conflict arrives let's let love and forgiveness be the first response," said Verus.

Verus will also be visiting Baton Rouge Mayor Kip Holden's office on Friday October 14th at 11:00am to deliver "1 Act of Kindness" wristbands to him and his staff for all their continuing efforts as the city begins the daunting task of rebuilding. Anyone interested supporting the "1 Act of Kindness" movement can order one at deiamorverus.com.
