CLAYTON, MI, October 27, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Joan E. Demlow, President and Co-Founder of Demlow Products, Inc., has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Joan E. Demlow will soon be featured in an upcoming edition of Women of Distinction in 2016/2017 and Top 2016.

Serving customers in the automotive industry for more than four decades, Joan E. Demlow is the President and Co-Founder of Demlow Products, Inc. in Clayton, Michigan. The company is a world-class supplier of formed wire products, specifically seat springs for the automotive industry, that is known for their superior commitment to quality and excellence.

"I was born and raised on a farm alongside my 14 siblings," Demlow said, "and I can still remember helping my dad maintain the farm machinery as a kid. I've always loved working with machines. My company is an extension of what I learned long ago; a hobby and passion of mine that is now a very lucrative business."

Together with her engineer husband, James Demlow, they built Demlow Products, Inc. from the ground up, beginning in 1967 strictly as a tool and die facility. They began to manufacture automotive tooling, and in time the product line grew. Today, the company is an international supplier of quality formed wire products that serve some of the major car companies, including Honda, Nissan, Chevrolet, Toyota, Subaru, and Fiat Chrysler, producing some 37 million springs annually, shipping parts to both Canada and Mexico and machines to both England and Peru.

"It's such a wonderful feeling seeing so many of our springs being used on so many different cars across the nation," Demlow said. "It's even better knowing how many jobs we have provided in our county of Lenawee for so many years."

Demlow is known for having recently invented a trailer hitch to hold four sized balls on a rotating gear and a corn cutter for home canning to cut corn off the cob. Active as a member of Farmers Antique Tractor and Engine Association who also served on their board for six years, she's also a member of National Association of Professional Women and volunteers on the funeral dinners for St. Mary's Church in Adrian, Michigan, and Manitou Beach, Michigan, as well as at two local daycare facilities.

Graduating from Catholic Central High School, Demlow later received her Associate's in SPC & Quality Control from Jackson College before attending Adrian College Builders License courses.
