Wayne Babler Honored by Marquis Who's Who for Excellence in Law

He achieved recognition of professional excellence in 1995 with his induction into the American College of Trial Lawyers



    BOYNTON BEACH, FL, October 31, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Wayne Babler has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Babler began his career in the private practice of law in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1971, following 3 ½ years of active service in the U.S. Navy. He assumed the position of associate with Quarles, Herriot, Clemons, Teschner & Noelke which several years later evolved into the firm as it is today, Quarles & Brady, LLP. He became the equity partner in 1976. His practice was devoted to business litigation in the Federal courts, primarily in the subjects of antitrust, unfair competition, trade secrets and intellectual property. In addition to admission to the Wisconsin bar, he is admitted to practice in a number of Federal District Courts and Federal Courts of Appeals through the United States, and the US Supreme Court.

He served on the Milwaukee Bar Association Board of Directors from 1976 through 1983 and was its president in 1981-1982. In 1983 Mr. Babler was appointed by the Chief Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court as its representative on the Wisconsin Judicial Compensation Study Committee established by the Wisconsin Legislature. He served two terms (1983-1987) on the State Bar of Wisconsin Board of Governors, including a year on its Executive Committee. He was president and a director of the Wisconsin Law Foundation and a founding Fellow on the Wisconsin Fellows of the Foundation. He was a founding member of the federal Seventh Circuit Bar Association. Mr. Babler was active in the American Bar Association Anti-Trust and Litigation Sections, and he was elected a member of the ABA House of Delegates for 12 years. He is a Life Fellow of the American Bar Association. He served on the board of directors of the Milwaukee Legal Aid Society. He achieved recognition of professional excellence in 1995 with his induction into the American College of Trial Lawyers, a peer review select invitation only association of esteemed trial lawyers around the United States, and served as its Wisconsin Chairman for 2 years, 2002 and 2004. Mr. Babler has published articles in various professional publications of the American Bar Association, and was a co-author of the multi-volume treatise BUSINESS AND COMMERCIAL LITIGATION IN THE FEDERAL COURTS (Robert L. Haig, Ed. West Group and ABA 1st ed. 1998, 2nd ed. 2005).

Mr. Babler earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1964 at Wittenberg University, and a Juris Doctor degree in 1967 at University of Wisconsin School of Law.

In recognition of professional excellence, Mr. Babler was selected for inclusion in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the Midwest, and Who's Who in the World among Marquis Who's Who publications. Mr. Babler retired from Quarles & Brady in 2009 and relocated to Delray Dunes Country Club in Boynton Beach, Florida, where he continued active involvement in activities around him, including serving on the Club's Board of Governors.
