Valuable Investment Opportunities Made Through "2016 SmartContent & VR Biz Day"

2016 SmartContent & VR Biz Day, one of the concurrent events of DMC Festival prepared by MSIP, was held on Oct. 5.

    ANYANG, KOREA, December 07, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- 2016 SmartContent & VR Biz Day, one of the concurrent events of DMC Festival prepared by MSIP, was held on Oct. 5. Hosted by NIPA, the event was attended by approximately 200 people related to Smart Content Center.

The event was held with the mission to bring up the innovative business models that are fit for the fast-changing paradigm of smart content industry. Also, successful investment cases and company spirit were presented at the seminar to give the chances for the attendees to experience more advanced business models.

Some of the well-known guest speakers including the investment expert Park Kyung-chul who is better known as "Country Doctor", Choi Jung-hwan, the vice president of the maker of the game "Mortal Blitz VR" Skonec Entertainment, and Kim Jong-yun, the general manager of Yanolja, the leader in Korean O2O market talked about the tips for getting funded, entrepreneurship, and the outlook of smart contents and VR industry.

Ten investors including SK Telecom, Posco, Mirae Asset Venture Investment, KAIST Venture Investment Holdings, and Softbank attended the event, and 13 companies fostered by Smart Contetnt Center or NIPA had the chance to give presentations on their companies and products in front of them. Their main products and contents were displayed in the exhibition zone for the attendees to try them out.

Park Suk-hee, the deputy director of MSIP, said, "This event was prepared to make opportunities for the smart content companies to find the right investors." She added, "MSIP will continue to make effort to help further develop the smart content companies."

There are about 30 companies including TwoEyes Tech, Spacosa, DM Edu, Kokilico, SendsOn, and Orfeo Soundworks that are being fostered by Smart Content Center. It is currently looking for AR/VR contents, webtoon, and animation companies to join until Nov. 4. More information can be found on Smart Content Center homepage.
