NAPLES, FL, December 07, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Rev. Alfred Salt has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With more than six decades in the priesthood, Father Salt is uniquely qualified to serve as an honorary assistant at St. Mary's, where he has been since 2007. After earning a Bachelor of Arts from Bishop's University in 1949 and a Master of Arts in history from the same institution two years later, he began as a parish priest with St. George's Church -- a position he held for two years. For the next eight years, he worked as a rector at Christ Church, during which time he obtained a Bachelor of Divinity from Bishop's University. In 1962, he took on the role of rector yet again at St. Michael's Church, where he stayed until 1972. Two years prior to leaving that church, he graduated from an advanced management program at Harvard University. He continued in a rector position at All Saints Church from 1972 to 1993, during which time he earned his most recent degree, a Doctor of Ministry, from the Graduate Theological Foundation.

In 1993, the Rev. Salt assumed an honorary assistant position with Grace Church and subsequently with Trinity Church, St. Monica's Church and St. John's Church. Thereafter, he secured his most recent role with St. Mary's. Additionally, he has worked in the roles of retreat conductor while in the Morris Convocation and director and vice president of Victorious Ministry Through Christ.

Throughout his lengthy career, the Rev. Salt has parlayed his religious knowledge into numerous creative works, including "Compass Book on Healing" and several professional journals. He has also been named to many Marquis Who's Who publications, such as Who's Who in Religion, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in the Midwest, and Who's Who in America. In order to maintain a connection to his field, he affiliates with The Worker Sisters of the Holy Spirit and the Naples Deanery.

During his spare time, the Rev. Salt enjoyed giving back to his community through the Quebec Protestant School Board, in the role of commissioner, St. Barnabas North Hatley, the Passaic Township Welfare Board, and presently, as Priest Associate at St. Mary's Church, Bonita Springs, FL.
