Recognized for nearly two decades of invaluable contributions to his field, Dr. Rizvi is currently using his knowledge to serve as an Assistant Professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he started in 2016. Before entering the field in a professional capacity, he earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from SMS Medical College and an MD from the same institution. Upon graduating, he worked as an Assistant Professor of Radiodiagnosis for RNT Medical College from 1998 until 2005. During this time, he became a Diplomate of the National Board in New Delhi and earned a Doctorate in Medicine in Neuroradiology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. Subsequently, from 2005 until 2011, Dr. Rizvi worked as Sub-specialty Assistant Consultant in Radiology for King Fahd Medical City. Just prior to obtaining his current role, he worked as a Clinical Instructor for the University of Virginia Health Systems and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology.
In order to keep abreast of changes in the field, Dr. Rizvi affiliates himself with the Radiological Society of North America, the American Society of Neuroradiology, the National Academy of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, the Indian Radiology and Imaging Association, and the Indian Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He has contributed his knowledge to many articles in research journals thus far, and has been recognized for his work on multiple occasions. During his spare time, he served on the Board of Directors for the Islamic Society of Central Virginia in 2015-16.
