Deloris Jordan sustained significant and permanent injuries during the 2012 vehicle accident as a passenger in a vehicle driven by her daughter, Roslyn.

The Jordans had just exited the Village Square Shopping Center to head south onto Skokie Boulevard when a northbound driver of an SUV approached. The SUV driver ignored the yellow and red lights, suddenly looked up and broadsiding the Jordan's passenger sedan. Emergency crews had to cut parts of the vehicle to extricate Roslyn Jordan from the driver's side.

Deloris Jordan suffered a broken arm and wrist and a fractured pelvis. She was taken to Northshore Highland Park Hospital's emergency room for treatment and, subsequently, required to undergo surgery followed by extensive physical therapy. Her injuries continue to cause her severe pain and limit her daily activity.
