John Hagel Celebrated by Marquis Who's Who for Almost 40 Years of Practiced Industry Experience

Recognized for nearly four decades of invaluable contributions to his field, Mr. Hagel is uniquely qualified to lead major research initiatives and engage with senior executives of global companies on behalf of the Deloitte Center for the Edge, where he has worked as co-chairman since 2007. Prior to entering the field in a professional capacity, he attended Wesleyan University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1972. Subsequently, he obtained a Bachelor of Philosophy from Oxford University and an MBA and JD from Harvard University. After graduating, Mr. Hagel began as a consultant with Boston Consultant Group, where he worked for two years. The next two years, he served as president of Sequoia Group and then began at Atari, Inc., where he worked as vice president and senior vice president over the course of a few years.

Upon leaving Atari, Mr. Hagel began with McKinsey and Co., where he served as senior engagement manager from 1984 until 1987. The following 13 years were spent as the company's principal. More recently, he worked as the chief strategy officer for 12 Entrepreneuring, Inc., the president of the Business Performance Network, and a trustee of the Santa Fe Institute. A member of the Massachusetts and American Bar Associations, he has parlayed his extensive knowledge of business and related fields into numerous creative works, including "Alternative Energy Strategies," "Assessing the Criminal," "Net Gain: Expanding Markets Through Virtual Communities," "Net Worth: Shaping Markets When Customers Make the Rules," and "The Power of Pull: How Small Moves, Smartly Made, Can Set Big Things in Motion." Mr. Hagel has also had the honor of winning numerous awards for his work, including becoming a fellow with the World Economic Forum, where he has been since 1999.
