Lars Haarr Celebrated by Marquis Who's Who for Nearly 55 Years of Practiced Industry Experience

Dr. Haarr affiliates himself with the Norwegian Medical Association and the Norwegian Biochemical Society



Throughout his career, he has contributed to articles on biochemistry, molecular biology and virology in various publications and won awards.

    BERGEN, NORWAY, February 01, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lars Haarr has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Recognized for almost five and a half decades of invaluable contributions to his field, Dr. Haarr currently parlays his knowledge into his role as professor emeritus, a position he has held since 2005. Before entering the field in a professional capacity, he earned an MD from the University of Bergen. Upon graduating, he began as a staff physician with Rogaland Hospital, where he stayed for a year before becoming a general practitioner in Sokndal in Rogaland County. Two years after entering the medical field, he became a research fellow in the department of biochemistry at his alma mater.

For nearly four decades after completing his fellowship, Dr. Haarr served in the roles of assistant professor, associate professor, associate professor of virology in the department of microbiology and immunology, and professor with the University of Bergen. During this long stretch of time at the school, he obtained a Ph.D. there to further his professional growth. In addition, he has held the roles of professor with and director of the National Center for Research in Virology, consultant in virology at Haukeland Hospital, and visiting professor at UCLA and Northwestern University Medical School.

A stunning example of excellence in his field, Dr. Haarr affiliates himself with the American Society of Microbiology, the Society of General Microbiology, Norwegian Medical Association, Norwegian Society of Virology, and the Norwegian Biochemistry Society in order to keep abreast of changes in the field. Throughout his career, he has contributed to articles on biochemistry, molecular biology and virology in various publications and won awards. He has also had the honor of being featured in Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare and Who's Who in Science and Engineering.
