Dr. Jacqueline C. Buchin Honored by Marquis Who's Who for Invaluable Lifetime Contributions to Clinical Psychology

    AUBURNDALE, MA, February 03, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Jacqueline C. Buchin has been included in Marquis Who's Who. With nearly four decades of clinical experience, Dr. Buchin is uniquely qualified to continue a variety of activities at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she has worked as a Research Clinician and Clinical Associate since 1995. During this time, she also held an appointment as a Clinical Associate at Harvard Medical School. She also has a private practice as part of the Biobehavioral Treatment Center in Brookline, MA, specializing in Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment of Depression, Anxiety, and Obsessive-Compulsive Spectrum Disorders.

Based on her years of research in the application of Beckian Cognitive Therapy to the treatment of Depression, Anxiety and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders, she was named a Founding Fellow of Aaron Beck's Academy of Cognitive Therapy in 1998.

Earlier, she earned a Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley College. In the late 1970s, she served as the Director of the Emergency Housing Program of the Multi-Service Center in Newton, MA. While earning her Master's in Education in Counseling from Antioch University, she had internships at the Newton (MA) and the Framingham (MA) Youth Guidance Clinics. During her doctoral studies at the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, she had internships at the Arbor Hospital, Solomon Carter Fuller Hospital, and Behavior Associates of Boston. She received her Psy.D. degree in 1990, after which she became a Fellow in the Cognitive Therapy Program at Massachusetts General Hospital, a Clinical Associate in the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders at Boston University and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Tufts School of Medicine.

Throughout her career, she has been recognized many times for her work. Notably, she has been included in eight volumes of Who's Who of American Women and seven volumes of Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare. Looking ahead, Dr. Buchin intends to experience the continued growth and success of her career.
