Werner T. Rupprecht Honored by Marquis Who's Who for Almost 60 Years of Invaluable Contributions to His Field

    KAISERSLAUTERN, GERMANY, February 08, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Werner T. Rupprecht has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With nearly six decades of practiced industry experience, Dr. Rupprecht is uniquely qualified to oversee a wide range of tasks on behalf of University Kaiserslautern, where he has been professor emeritus since 1997, and Wilhelm Buechner School, where he has worked as a tutor since 2006. Before entering the field in a professional capacity, he earned a diploma in engineering from University Karlsruhe. Upon graduating, he became an electrical engineer for Medical Engineering Co. The following year, he started work as an assistant at University Karlsruhe and soon after earned a Doctor of Engineering from the school. Dr. Rupprecht earned a Doctor of Engineering Habilitation from his employer as well, and has served as a researcher and lecturer for them. In addition to his other roles in the field, he worked as a consulting engineer for the Indian Post Office for two years, professor of electrical engineering for University Kaiserslautern, visiting professor giving lectures at universities in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Nanjing, China and Cape Town, South Africa, and as a visiting professor giving seminars only in Santa Barbara, CA, Singapore and Teheran, Iran.

A member of the IEEE, VDE and Rotary, and a former member of Deutscher Amateur Radio Club and The New York Academy of Sciences, Dr. Rupprecht has contributed his extensive knowledge to such creative works as "Einfuehrung in die Theorie der kognitiven Kommunikation" in 2014, "Signale und Ubertragungssysteme," in 1993, "Orthogonalfilter," in 1987 and "Nachrichtentechnik" in 1967, 2nd edition in 1972, 3rd edition in 1982. However, this doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of his publications in the field. Throughout his career, he has authored nine books, including the ones mentioned above, and four books for private schools, including "Grundlagen der digitalen Signalubertragung," and has contributed to handbooks six times. He has also written more than 35 articles in professional journals, both by himself and with other scholars, and 54 papers in conference proceedings, on such topics as digital and data transmission, algorithm decoding, performance improvement in the field and MMDS for digital television broadcasting. Further, he holds four patents in the field and has given repeated in-house courses to well-known companies including Bosch, IBM and Siemens. He also served on the Scientific Board of European Transactions on Telecommunications in Milan from 1990 to 2002. During his long career, Dr. Rupprecht was a member of a number of working groups, among them, the working group on Distance Education, and the working group on Digital Audio Broadcasting. He was also an elected expert of the German Research Foundation during two election periods.

As a testament to his success, he has been included in Who's Who in Finance and Business, three volumes of Who's Who in Science and Engineering, and 10 volumes of Who's Who in the World. Looking toward the future, Dr. Rupprecht intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career.
