Company co-founder Jeff Kraus welcomes son to leadership team, laying groundwork for dynamic future

We are deeply committed to the long-term success of our communities and the families we serve. Brad is an experienced manager who will provide dynamic leadership now and in the future.

DENVER, CO, February 13, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Spectrum Retirement co-founders Jeffrey Kraus and John Sevo named Kraus' son, Bradley Kraus, as President and Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. The move reinforces the focus of the Denver-based company, one of the largest privately held senior living owner operators in the U.S., to continue to be a leader in the senior housing industry long into the future.

Bradley Kraus has worked for Spectrum for four years, most recently in the role of Senior Vice President of Business Development. In his new role, Kraus will be responsible for overseeing all facets of Spectrum Retirement's day-to-day operations including 33 senior living communities in 12 states, which employ a staff of more than 2,600. John Sevo and Jeffrey Kraus will continue to serve in their dual roles of Managing Directors and Chief Executive Officers of Spectrum Retirement and its development arm, Spectrum Acquisition Partners, respectively.

"Jeff and I are deeply committed to the long-term success of Spectrum, its communities and the families we serve," said Sevo. "We are also committed to remaining private and nimble. Brad is an experienced investor and manager who shares our vision and will provide dynamic leadership both now and in the future."

Bradley Kraus is a graduate of the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. Prior to joining Spectrum, he was a senior associate in the real estate practice of Cerberus Capital Management. He began his career as an analyst at Morgan Stanley, working in the Real Estate Investment Banking and Real Estate Private Equity groups.

As Kraus transitions into his new role, Spectrum is well-positioned for a bright future. In 2016, the American Seniors Housing Association ranked the company in the top 50 largest U.S. senior housing real estate owners and operators, and it is staged to move up quickly, with 13 communities currently under construction. Committed to exceeding residents' expectations, Spectrum is also ranked among the top 10 senior housing operators in the United States by residents and families in the SeniorAdvisor.com annual Best of Senior Living Awards.

"I designed my early career to gain the experience and perspective necessary to build on Spectrum's success," said Brad Kraus. "This is a remarkable company run by the best people in the industry, and I am honored to take a leadership role."
