Brian Lessing Recognized by Marquis Who's Who for Excellence in Actuarial Services

    NEW YORK, NY, February 21, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Brian Lessing has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Brian Lessing is a Senior Director and Actuary at AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company, with responsibilities in life insurance pricing and product development, actuarial review of contracts, prospectuses and marketing materials, preparation of actuarial memoranda for state filings, and actuarial specifications for administrative and proposal systems. In addition, he has been active on industry committees working on emerging insurance-related issues. He received an AB in Mathematics from Princeton University and MS in Mathematics from the Courant Institute at NYU. He holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation, and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA). In recognition of his professional excellence, Mr. Lessing earned an AXA Innovation award on two occasions. He was also selected for inclusion into Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East, and Who's Who in the World.

Considered an expert in his field, Mr. Lessing has taken on opportunities in education to share his knowledge and insights. He was an adjunct instructor for New York Institute of Technology and Pace University, adjunct assistant professor for The College of Insurance, and research assistant at New York University. He is currently an adjunct professor in the Department of Finance and Risk Engineering in the New York University Tandon School of Engineering. Today, he remains current in his field through his fellowship in the Society of Actuaries and his memberships in the Society of Financial Service Professionals and the American Academy of Actuaries. When asked about his success over the last three decades, Mr. Lessing credits the foundation that his education has provided him. A graduate of Princeton University and New York University, he earned a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in 1976 and a Master of Science in 1979. In addition, he is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. Looking to the future, Mr. Lessing intends to continue in his work as an actuary and educator.
