RAFT Prepares for New Leadership

Grainger Marburg, CEO, Resigns



    SAN JOSE, CA, March 09, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Resource Area For Teaching (RAFT) Board of Directors announced that Grainger Marburg is resigning from his position as CEO effective April 14, 2017.

During his tenure, he has successfully led RAFT in fulfilling its mission of helping educators to transform a child's learning experience through hands-on education to inspire the joy and discovery of learning. Under his leadership, RAFT has implemented a strong strategic vision and has established itself as an innovator in education.

Mr. Marburg has successfully laid the foundation for future growth with an enhanced portfolio of products and services for educators. He is leaving behind a legacy of launching the Makerspace Education Initiative at RAFT that provides high-needs schools with hands on learning materials and professional development, and other wrap around services.

After leading non-profit organizations for 12 consecutive years, Mr. Marburg has decided to take a sabbatical, after which he will be pursuing new opportunities to leverage his visionary leadership skills and passion for education. Mr. Marburg will be working with the RAFT Board of Directors to smoothly transition his responsibilities to an Interim CEO who will be named in the next few weeks.
